Story

In September 2018 Harry Sykes sadly passed away. His family wanted to continue the passion he had for rugby and give the opportunity for other young people to be able to have access to the game.

Harry was a determined young man with a love of rugby and his family, girlfriend Bryony and friends from his team and school. Harry was the first to admit he was a mummy's boy and wasn't afraid to say it, family was important to him.

Harry was a prop for Queensbury and absolutely adored his team mates and coaches. Steve, Craig and Richard were amazing for the whole team and encouraged them all. Rugby is one of the things that helped Harry. He learnt about being part of a team, working together and much more.

He even got his friend Reece in to playing and he has continued playing for Wyke.

His philosophy was play rugby, help people and have fun. Harry did all of these in his life and would love that we are continuing this in his name.

The Harry Sykes Fund has been set up and has already helped people and wanting to help so many more. That is why we have started this and need your help to carry this on.

We would like to help as many people as possible, so if you know of anyone that needs help contact us on hello@theharrysykesfund.co.uk.

We welcome all donations as they will all go to the youths in the rugby league community.
